As an institution we have been thrilled to launch our talk session, Flip Talks wherein everytime we look forward to having experts come into our campus and share insights on various topics concerning the professional world. Engaging with our students on topics noof generic interest has helped our student community gain a broader perspective apart from their curriculum.
We kick started our November with an informative session on Luxury Market where we delved deep into the marketing strategies used by brands for targeting their niche customers. As it is a well known fact that the design industry isn’t an easy one to penetrate, therefore concerning the wondrous luxury sector it was a mandate to listen to experiences from an expert to understand the real world challenges that designers and businesses owners face everyday. It was with immense pleasure that we had the incredible opportunity to listen to Ms. Aisha Saraf Kothari, Founder of AISPI, an expert in Luxury Market, specializing in accessories and fashion products mainly. She primarily focuses on the Indian Fashion market and has been pivotal in changing the fashion scenario of the region, especially in the luxury sector.
Aisha’s impact on the Indian luxury fashion scene is undeniable, her keen eye for emerging talent in fashion and unwavering commitment to innovation has opened doors for international designers and offered discerning Indian consumers access to an unparalleled selection of luxury finds.
We could understand the major responsibilities that Aisha personally has handled thereby paving the way for more and more designers to successfully venture into the luxury market.

- Launching International Talent: With a track record of introducing over 75 international designers to India, Aisha has made AiSPi a pivotal platform for emerging and boutique talent to make their mark. This not only enriches the fabric of the Indian fashion scene but also provides international designers with a gateway to a discerning new audience.
- Prestigious Collaborations: Aisha has cultivated strategic alliances with Indian brands and partners to bridge the gap between international and Indian fashion realms. AiSPi collaborated with Indian couture designer Manish Malhotra as well the country’s first resort wear brand SHIVAN & NARRESH. These collaborations foster cross-cultural exchange within the fashion industry. Furthermore, AiSPi has orchestrated successful events in partnership with iconic establishments such as The Chanakya Mall and DLF Emporio, showcasing its prowess in curating unique experiences and solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the luxury fashion event landscape.
Our Design students comprising the Interior and Fashion departments were enthusiastic and they expressed their interests during the session by engaging the speaker with a lot of questions and doubts regarding the topic that turned the talk session into a rather interesting class lesson. We were thrilled to see such an active audience at Capital and we look forward to hosting more of such interesting talk shows in future.
